Here is Hua Mulan's Caste System Reflections!

Reflections about the Caste System

Why would each Varna approve/disapprove of the caste system:
The Brahmins would approve of it as they were the highest of the 4 Varnas and they had top priority in everything. They led one of the better lives compared to the rest of the caste.
The Kshatriyas would also approve, as they are the ones who are rulers and warriors. Therefore because of that, they probably have some power and thus would approve of their caste system. However on the other hand, they might disapprove because they may not be willing to risk their lives to fight.
The Vaishayas are merchants and farmers therefore they might approve to it. They had harvest and it can act as a source of food and income and power to them. However, they might disagree to it, as it might be too laborious especially for the farmers. They may disapprove to it as they contributed a lot to the society; they not only get nothing in return but are also placed as third class in the caste system.
The Shudras may disapprove to it as they have done many laborious jobs but their works are taken for granted and are considered impure by the higher Varnas without even given a chance to develop their skills and talents.
All in all each Varnas system may disapprove to it as they are not allowed to marry someone from other Varna, making things very difficult for them.

What makes it unfair?
The lower caste might have more capable people based on merits to rule the country. Even if you were a good person in your previous life, being in the higher caste doesn’t necessarily mean that you have the merits to rule a country.

What makes it fair?
The caste system is fair as it is believed that the Varna a person was given birth into is affected by how a person behaved in their previous life. Thus, if someone was a good person in their previous life, they will be born into a higher Varna. So, it is expected to have good people in higher Varnas to rule over the other people.

Would it be possible to apply the caste system in Singapore?

The caste system should not be applied into Singapore because Singapore, being a racial and religious country, would have different racial marriages and friendships from different walks of life. People of different occupations have been used to the life of having so many different people around them. Singapore is a meritocratic country and we have bonds with each other. A person of a lower class may have a relationship with a person of a higher class. People of our countries come from different backgrounds, some rich, and some poor. We have different lives but we have our own strengths and weaknesses for the benefits of Singapore. Equality must be maintained in Singapore.
